Wasted Summer?

Poor Justin. His summer vacation is almost over and he feels like it was a wasted summer. We have spent the entire time worrying about what we should do about accepting a job if it is offered. He still has one more year left here, should he choose. We recieved the contract in the mail last week. But he has applied for 2 positions elsewhere. It may be a complete waste of energy if he doesn't get an offer on either one, but it has been a tough road to hoe. Fasting and prayer and weighing the plusses and minuses. So, at the end of his vacation, we are no better off then we were at the begininng. He was saying yesterday that he really wishes we had never even known about these positions. We were fine where we were. With one more year left here. But we also were pretty sure that he had a good chance of being hired permantly here after the appointment. But now we know differently. Do to changes in the school, there is not much of a chance of that now. At any rate, Justin finally accomplished a task yesterday that made the summer worth while. he taught Caroline to ride a two-wheeler! Caroline is a genius. Yes, we knew this before, but this proves it! Justin took Caroline accross the street to the park yesterday to learn to ride her bike and she did in record time. It literally took her about 15 minutes. Justin said that she is 6 years old and it is about time, but I didn't learn until I was 7 almost 8. But I guess boys learn sooner than girls. At any rate she was able to push off by herself and ride around the entire park after only half an hour of practicing! I took some pictures and finally will be able to develop the roll soon. Also, I got some pictures back from our trip to StGeorge, the family pics, but I have to email you the link for you to see them. So if you want to see them, let me know your email address and I will get right on that for ya!

That is so funny about Caroline learning to ride her bike. Rachel wants her training wheels taken off, but Sean did it one day and it freaked her out. I was thinking about when I learned to ride a bike and I was 8. Now, I see 3 and 4 year olds riding two wheelers. Crazy!
