Thank goodness for air conditioning
Air conditioning is good. Our landlord just put our window unit in yesterday. It was getting to be about 85 degrees inside and the kids refused to wear jammies to bed. Poor kids. Thank goodness for air conditioning. I could never have been a pioneer. When we were in New Orleans last summer we were wondering what people did before air conditioning there. I could not have done anything all day!!! I would have been laying on the floor with my tongue hanging out with no clothes on. I am a wimp. But thank goodness for 2006 and thank goodness for air conditioning!

Amen! Anytime the temp rises above 80 I turn into a complete slug. I definitely would not have functioned well in a wagon trying to cross the plains.
