Our Violinist
So last night was Caroline's final recital for violin. And they had a hoe down. We had a little pot luck with sloppy joes and watermelon and after eating the students performed. There were 12 students and they all did well. Caroline looks so tiny up there with everyone! She is the youngest at 6 and the second youngest is 10. But she did really well and everyone thought she was adorable. The teachers made a book for the summer for the students to practice out of so they can keep up their skills. They have decided to keep only 5 students and Caroline is one of them! They are very impressed with her dedication and natural talent. She holds her own with the older kids. We are very pleased with her teachers and the extra time they take with her. The one teacher is 18 years old, a junior at BYU-I, and a violin virtuoso! She is really amazing. The University has asked her to start teaching classes at the University! And her mother is the other teacher. Between the two of them, Caroline is getting a wonderful education. She plays 9 songs out of her book and 3 fiddle songs. Have I bragged enough about my child??? I am just so proud of her. And... because of her dedication and talent, the teachers have decided to put her on scholarship! She will get lessons for free. It is an amazing blessing. We are so happy that so many great things happen to us amongst difficult times.

That is amazing. It's so great that you started her out so young. We all deserve a prodigy child!
