What a morning
This morning, as we were supposed to be leaving for school, Hilton decided he wanted to bring his elephant to school. Fine, I did not want to fight so I helped him look for it for 10 minutes. Could not find it. He lost it. Screaming, crying, tantrum... The entire ride to his school screaming and crying about his elephant. It takes 30 minutes to get to his school. By the time we got to his school I had taken away every possible thing I could think of. No computer today, stay in his room for 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, the whole evening!!! The child will not be aloud to blow his nose for the rest of the week. Nothing phased him. Usually a threat of taking away the computer or making him stay in his room makes him straighten up and fly right. On top of all of this we were late to school. I had to walk in and check him into school and walk him all the way back to his classroom which is at the very back of the school. The entire school is outdoors. All the classrooms open up into a courtyard, kind of like a motel, so I am carrying Lorelai wrapped in a blanket, we are having a Tornado warning right now so the wind was furious, luckily it is not cold... i had planned to go grocery shopping because Justin got paid today and we were out of food. But, I forgot my list and coupons so I had to truck my cookies all the way back home to get those and then to the grocery store. I shopped and when I came outside, the wind was whipping like crazy and one of my bags flew from my cart. It was the one with 2 boxes of lightbulbs which all broke. Not kidding!!! I was supposed to go to Hilton's school today and do a parent/child project and decorate a little Mardi Gras float, but because I was so late, I did not make it. So not only am I a bad mom because I could not find Wavy the elephant, but I am a bad mom because I did not make it to his school. URGH! What a frustrating day... And now it is raining and Justin took my umbrella so when I go to get Hilton we are going to get soaked!!!

When the weather is bad in Louisiana, it is just yucky. I remember those kind of days. And I Hate bad days!
Ugh! I have had days like that. Nothing goes right. I should bring him to school a few days a week because I am going that way anyway. Let's set something up. You should not have to travel 30 minutes when I am going there anyway. Vicki
I am not sure the grade level but Ethan is in 4th grade and Matthew is in 6th...
J.L. I love you. Sorry you had such a poopy day. You should call me on those kinds of days because I can almost guarantee you, I'll be having one too. We can compare notes and laugh until we cry. Hope the weekend was better.
