Peace, but not quiet
The kids went back to school today. It is wonderfully peaceful in the house right now. I would like to say that it is quiet, but Lorelai is very vocal. She is constantly shouting and screeching just to hear herself. She sits in her jumperoo and talks and yells and tells herself stories. But at least I don't have fighting children to deal with. I think Hilton was the most excited to get back to school. Caroline was not at all interested. It is so weird! When I was a kid, I could not wait to go back to school after Christmas break. Oh well, you can't win them all. We had our tea party yesterday and the kids had a ball. Then Justin took them to see Alvin and the Chipmunks while I stayed home with the babe. I had hoped for a nap, but no such luck. She is on a very particular schedule for her naps now, and there is no way to get her to deviate from it. Last night I went to work and got out 10 minutes early (which is unheard of) because the LSU game was on. By 7:00 the store was completely empty! We had maybe 3 customers in the whole store between 7 and 8 and zero between 8 and 9! It was actually quite nice! So I got home a little early to spend some quality time with my husband which consisted of... watching MASH. Yea... whoop dee doo. Oh well, everyday can't be wine and roses, right?

Wow! They get out of school for so long there! Brigitta was out of school for only 7 days for Christmas break, and I think it was enough. She was definitely ready to get back to school, but I don't think we did as many fun things as you guys did. Good job on making Christmas break a fun time!
I watched part of the game last night with Paul(he was rooting for ohio) and then went to bed while he stayed up to finish watching. I hear LSU won...
MASH!!! How romantic!!
Jenny--just a follow up to your comment. I swap with a friend. I take her two kids while she helps in her daughter's class & she takes Gracie while I help in Brigitta's class. It's worked pretty well.
That is a really long break for the kids! Glad they're back to school and you can get back to a normal routine. I like M*A*S*H--much better than quality time watching, oh, say golf?
