So Cool!

You know what is cool? THe computer. That is what is so cool. I live on the bottom of the earth (Ok, just the bottom of the country) and yet I have friends all over the place! And you know what else? I have made great friends through this box. I mean, my old roommates from collge, for instance! I haven't seen them in like 13 years! And yet, I feel like I am still as close to them as ever through blogging! I read what is going on in their lives and they in mine! I haven't met most of their children, (except Hunter when he was just a teensy baby) and I feel like I know them! I feel like a neighbor. I haven't ever met my old roommate, Shana's sister, Christine, and I feel like I know her so well because I read her Blog daily. It is such a great thing. I know that this Blog will never be published. I know I am not a great writer or story teller, but just having this outlet, this journal of sorts- keeps me connected to those I care about. My parents see pictures of their Grandchildren regularly, not just when I get around to developing film. What an amazing tool we have been given. Thank you, Al Gore, for the internet... HAHAHA! I don't know who invented the internet. I know it was a really smart person who can comprehend much more than I. It is easier for me to comprehend eternity than to understand how signs and symbols on a screen can turn into pictures... But whoever did it, I am grateful for it. It is my window to the world. It is better than the telephone! I think computers and the internet and Blogs are cool. Oh, is cool still a "cool" word? Because now that I have typed it a few times and said it over in my head it sounds like a really dumb word. And it looks like I spelled it wrong, even though I know I didn't. Ok, I think this is a discussioin for another time.
