Sweatery Season
It is the sweatery season. The time of year where you get to hybernate in your house and take naps while the baby naps. The time of year that is way too cold to go outside. When the kids want to go to the park, if you don't feel like braving the snow and cold, you can just say, "It is way too cold outside." It is the time of year where you get to wear those warm, fuzzy sweaters that make you feel tiny when you are wrapped up in them. When you love to curl up on the couch with a good book and a warm blanket and just the light of a lamp. When you don't want to get out of bed in the morning because the quilt on your bed is so warm and comfy and outside of your little cocoon, it is cold and icy. It is the time of year to wear warm slippers on your feet. When you make hot chocolate in the morning and soups for dinner. It is that wonderful sweatery season that cannot be matched. Unfortunately I do not live in a place condusive to the sweatery season. It is mostly in the 70's even the 80's. Today it is pouring rain and muggy outside. I have not been able to get out my big, comfy sweaters for the sweatery season. I just have to wear t-shirts. All year round. It is too hot for hot chocolate. And the thought of hot soup makes me cringe. Even baking is a chore because turning on the oven makes it very hot in the house. It does not take much for the air conditioner to kick on. Some people love this weather. They hate the idea of ice and snow. But I miss my little corner of Rexburg filled with icecycles and perfectly formed snow flakes. Where the windows are beautiful with nature-made lace. Where you wanted to stay in because the roads were not plowed. I miss that little corner of the world right now...

What a beautiful picture of winter you've created! It must be a huge shock to your system to be there immediately after living in Rexburg. I miss some of those things living in St. George--the snow and icey-lace. However, I do get to enjoy sweaters a bit and definitely soup and hot chocolate. I guess I almost have the best of both worlds.
Aw! I would hate missing out on sweater season. That said, it might also be nice to avoid chapped lips and chillblains and cabin fever... sigh. The grass is always greener, huh?
