Happy Mardi Gras! I went to Albertson's this morning to get some ice cream and balloons for Hilton's birthday today and you should have seen all the people buying booze at 9am. Mardi Gras is a very silly holiday, I think. I need to take a picture of all of the beads the kids got at the parade on Saturday. If you have never been to a Mardi Gras parade, you really would have no idea what to expect. It was a lot of fun. We went a couple of years ago when we were here before, but it was much more fun this year when the kids are older. Anyway, our Mardi Gras will consist of going to Chuckie Cheese's for Hilton's birthday. He is so excited! We are going to have balloons, party hats, goody bags, chocolate cake and chocolate chip ice cream (which was IMPOSSIBLE to find, by the way!) Hilton was very specific about what he wanted. The only friend he wanted was Andrew Waihi, so we invited all of the Waihi's to come with us. He said Lillianne and Sophie can come if they have to... I will take lots of pictures of the Birthday boy! He is very excited about being 5!!!

Happy birthday to the boy! Aren't they the best at this age? Hope he has lots of fun. I've never been to Mardi Gras, but I've always wanted to--very silly holiday, but so much fun, I'm sure.
Happy Birthday, Hilton! I can't believe he's 5! I still remember tending him and having him fall asleep half on/half off Brigitta's little chair. Why do they get so old so quickly?
I loved Mardi Gras when I was there and thought it was terrific fun and I am sure it is no different now!
