LONGGGG day
Justin made it to Texas. He is there for a theatre conference until Sunday. It is something that he tried to get out of, but the dept head was insistant that all of the faculty go, so there he is. Meanwhile, I watched two friends' children yesterday. So I had 8 kids for 3 hours and the rest of the time I had my 3 and another's 3. I discovered that I was right that I only want the 3 I have. And I really admire my friends that have more. It was hard to see my house getting turned upside down. But the kids were all very good about cleaning up when I told them to. Another thing that was crazy was feeding all of those kids! I could not believe all the plates I had to fix. And those kids are good eaters so they wanted seconds. And I was so worried that they were going to get food all over the place. It was a long day. But I got through it! My friend was 3 hours late due to circumstances beyond her control, so her kids were with me almost 11 hours. I just felt bad for those kids. Plus I had to get my kids in bed. So today I am just going to veg out.

That's a crazy amount of kids. You were brave to take that on. How is Lorelai? Any news there?
Yup, that kind of chaos can be tough to take. Glad you survived. I'm sure the kids enjoyed it. ;-)
Oh yeah. . . I feel your pain. Vegging out as a form of recovery is a very good thing. That's what I'm doing right now--American Idol, chips and dip, and a soda. Hope the days go by quickly and the nights even faster.
You are a really good friend...or a glutton for punishment. There's nothing like doubling the number of kids in your house to help you realize how grateful you are for just your kids, right? Hang in there!
