Fever

Lorelai woke up from her nap at 1pm on Friday with a fever of 103. I called the doctor. She had woken Sunday morning with unexplainable bruises all over her body on Sunday so we went to the pediatrician on Tues. He said he thought it could be from a virus. Well when she woke with the fever on Friday, I was concerned. He could not find anything wrong. He did take blood on Tues and ran tests that all came out fine... Her fever crept up and up all weekend. Sat night it was 105.5 under her arm! I gave her Motrin and took her to the Emergency room. Vicki came over to sit with the kids while they slept. When I got to the ER the nurse told me it would be at least a 4 hour wait, and at 11pm they would go down to just one doctor so it might be even longer. And when he took her temp it had gone down to 99, so I just left. I gave her Motrin and stayed up with her all night. Justin got home on Sunday afternoon and I took a nap, then her fever went right up again! Duane came over at 8:30 and he and Justin gave her a blessing. I gave her Motrin at 12:30 when she woke up last night and when she woke up this morning she was as cool as a cucumber! I thought, yes, her fever broke! So I went to the Dr. Suess Green Eggs and Ham breakfast at Hilton's school as planned. But now her fever is back up again. I haven't taken it, but she feels hot to me... This is just ridiculous! What is it with my kids and mysterious fevers???
