The story

So, a couple of months ago I get a phone call from a lady in Canada who is moving to Lafayette and needs a babysitter for her 2 boys. The Relief Society Pres in our ward gave her my number because I had been looking for a babysitting job. And then 2 weeks ago, this woman called and said she is coming to Lafayette and could she stay at my house for one or 2 nights while she looks for a place to live. I talk to Justin and he says sure as long as it is only for one or 2 nights. She calls back and I told her it would be ok and she asks me to pick her up at the airport. I did, but what I did not know is that her 2 boys would be with her and she was moving into the apt she was looking for right away! She came here with only her suitcases. So this week I have been helping her find a place to live, some furniture, some dishes, stuff to set up house... Long story short... she is in an apt Thanks to God, and she has beds, and things are going well. Now she just needs to find a really cheap car. She is a really nice lady. She just was very naive about what would happen when she got here. Things are nothing like they are in Canada. But she is really a trooper. And her boys are really great. Ages 7 and 8 and get along with my kids really well. I will be babysitting them for a few weeks until school starts. So once again, I have more things than I can handle, but I am sure that I will be blessed... Right? Please tell me I will be blessed... Anyway... I know that everyone in my ward thinks I am crazy for taking in this woman I don't know, but I really felt like I needed to. I wanted to treat her the way I would want to be treated. So that is the story, Guys... in case you're wondering!

Hopefully you get great blessings from this... you're a better person than I am. Thank goodness for people as kind as you.

you will be blessed! I certainly can't say how or when, but somewhere down the road when the Lord is ready. :-) I'm glad you were able to do that for her and that she didn't turn out to be a weirdo...just naive. Luv, Mom

Jenny, You are so awesome. I don't think I could just pick up a stranger like that and bring them to my house. I know you will be truly blessed for your compassion!
