First day down...

Yesterday was the first day of an entire week off of school for the kids. I have been dreading this week for a while now. The kids mostly fight when they are together. They sometimes find themselves happy with one another and play and make up great games together. They will play outside with neighbors or stay in their rooms for hours playing house or school... but most of the time I hear fighting. Caroline is mad because Hilton won't stay out of her room, Hilton is mad because Caroline won't play with him and they are both screaming because Lorelai is "messing everything up!" Yesterday I nipped it in the bud by leaving the house. We went to the mall. And Build A Bear was having a great deal/sale... so we went in. The kids love the mall. They don't mind going from store to store looking at clothes. I don't really know why. It seems like it would be really boring for them, but I guess I conditioned them at an early age to love shopping as much as I do! So, I really had no plans to spend money... but I saw those cute little Christmas Moose, Hal and Holly and thought that we had to have them! So in we went. I did not have a camera, so I did not get any photos... but it took up a good part of the day and they kids had a blast! Lorelai was a little scared of the stuffing machine because it is so loud and sounds like a vacuum, but once she got her Bunny, she was happy. Caroline named her Moose Jolly and Hilton named his Moose Jose.... I don't know how he came up with that. I don't know where he comes up with most of the stuff he does. But anyway, it was worth it. I used our entertainment money for the week, but the kids have been happy and wonderful ever since. They keep telling me thank you and that yesterday was the best day ever! I have never gotten that much gratitude for even taking them to Chuck E Cheese! So I am glad that we started the week off on a good note. Just 4 more days to go.
