It was the first day of school for Hilton on Wed!!! Then he had off yesterday and is back today for good. Caroline has been in school since last friday. I cannot tell you what a joy it is to have them back in school! They are getting to bed at 7:30 again, and happy when they wake up in the morning. It is wonderful. Caroline is over school. She liked it for about the first day but she is already complaining about going. She whined about going on Tues morning which was just the third day of school! She is not very impressed with her teacher. She seems to be a yeller. But we told Caroline that she just needs to say to herself that she is not yelling at Caroline, she is just yelling in general. Caroline gets so anxious when people are loud and yell. She takes it very personally. Hilton LOVES school! Last year he was not excited about preschool at all. Not even on the first day of school. But he is very excited this year. When he went on Wed there was just half of his class there. Today is the whole class. His teacher is a very sweet older lady. He is very happy and excited. And was very disappointed when I told him that he would not be attending on Saturdays. So we are off to a good start! I am just happy to have my days back! No more babysitting... I am going from 5 kids all day to just Lorelai. I can't ask more than that!

I join you in your joyousness!!! Hilton's ear to ear grin cracks me up. There is no medium with him. Poor Caroline...she must be traumatized from constantly getting yelled at at home :)
Caroline looks to mature in those pictures. I can't get over it. I'm so glad that Hilton loves school. That is a great beginning. Why not look into changing teachers, if Caroline's teacher continues ranting?

I am with you on that great feeling of having one kid at home--even though I never was up to 5! Enjoy the peace! Good luck with Caroline--can she switch to a different teacher? Or is she just not a fan of school no matter which teacher? So happy Hilton's loving it!
