Missing home

I am back at the library so I don't have a lot of time again, but I forgot to say that Lorelai got her first tooth last week! The day after we got here! Her bottom tooth has come in and now she is getting one of her top eye teeth. She is going to look mighty goofy! She is miserable most of the time, but miserable for her is not bad at all. Except for the no sleeping part. I feel bad about that. But she is always such a smiley baby! She does not like strangers and this includes members of the family. It has taken 10 days to warm up to her Auntie Jen and Grandma and she still cries at her Grandpa. But Uncle Jason came in last night and his diligence has paid off. He insisted on picking her up and playing with her all day despite her protests and now she goes to him without crying at all! In just one day! I am totally impressed. The kids found a lost dog today. It is a poodle named Valentino and we are keeping it in the back yard until the owners call. He is pretty dirty so I am wondering how long he has been missing. But the kids are loving playing with him. I am sure they will be sad when the owners come to get him. I am keeping busy cleaning, making meals, doing laundry and reading. I have read 2 books while I have been here and am now on my third. I am ready to be back in my own space and have the comforts of my own home. My parents are coming up next weekend and the kids are really looking forward to that. I think we are going to head out on the 23rd of April which is a wed. I am going to try to get over to a friend's house to buy the tickets online tonight. Anyway... that is all of the news. I wish there were more to tell, but my life is rather boring right now. My sister-in-law, Jen has been taking care of my father-in-law, so I have not had to do much. She is going to stay out here for as long as she is needed, so there really is no need of me to be here. I know the kids will be happy to be home too. THey miss their Papa. So do I!

You are a trooper! Good luck with your remaining couple of weeks. It's always nice to return home, isn't it?
