Lorelai's Birthday June 21st 2010

I cannot believe that I am such a bad mother that I have not posted about my little Lorelai's birthday party!  It kind of got lost with our move and all of the summer stuff.  Lorelai turned 3 this year!  She was determined to have a party at the Splash Park.  It was a chilly day, so she did not last long in the water, but she didn't mind.  She just had a blast!  the last picture is her Dora cake which I purchased.  I like buying cakes more than actually making them...
My little Lorelai is wonderful.  She loves being read to.  She loves Olivia the pig, the color purple and anything to do with princesses.  She wants to be a purple butterfly for Halloween.  She can't wait until we will let her take gymnastics. She is always showing us her "Nymnastits!"   She does forward rolls and jumps and her version of the head stand.  She loves music and dancing and singing, but gets self-conscious if we watch her without her permission.

Lorelai has some definite ideas about what she will and will not wear everyday.  She prefers dresses, even if it is cold.  So I have purchased several long sleeve play dresses and leggings for this winter.  She loves anything girly and I am sure she would prefer to have her hair long because she always wants pony tails and such.  She loves Barbies (these are handmedowns from her big sister...  I am not sure I am ready to let her play with them...)  She loves her babies and playing tea party.  She loves to help me bake.  She is quite an individual and wants to do things on her own... except go potty.  She always wants someone in there with her.  She is polite, if not a little shy around strangers.  But she is a joy and just a light in our lives!

If you would have found my yard sale you would have found a PURPLE BUTTERFLY Halloween costume for sale! (Free for you!) It was probably too big for Lorelai, but it was a good quality, heavy-duty costume from Costco! Bummer!

She is one adorable little girl. I miss being able to see her and be with her. Your children are all precious and special children of our Heavenly Father. I'm so glad they chose you and Jus to bring them up. You both are doing a great job as parents. Tell them that Grandma Shuck loves them bushels.
