Hilton is Four

Hilotn is 4! What a big boy! We had his birthday yesterday. His Grandma and Grandpa Bates came up and we had cake and he opened presents. It was very fun! He got a Darth Vader mask that changes his voice and he thinks it is pretty awesome. Hilton's favorite things are Light Sabers, anything that has to do with Toy Story, and Diego. He loves to play dress-up. He doesn't care if it is a princess costume or a Buzz Lightyear costume, he enjoys playing pretend. He loves to play with his race cars and his leapster video game. Hiltonlikes cinnamon toast for breakfast and a sippy cup of chocolate milk. That is like coffee is to a lot of people in the morning. He likes to dress himself now. And likes to many things by himself. Hilton helped me stir dinner last week and now considers himself quite the chef. He would like to know when he can "make" dinner again. He loves to help me cook and clean. He likes dusting and doing the dishes. He loves when we vacuum so he can run and scream from it. Hilton enjoys Sunbeams. He sits reverantly and is very good in his new class. Hilton loves to be read to. His favorite book is red hat green hat. He knows it by heart and can "read" it without us! He loves the summer and cannot wait to go back to the lake and the park. It has been a difficult winter being cooped up inside. His asthma is still bad and he can't run around too much, especially in the cold weather, but it doesn't slow him down. Hilton told me that someday he wants to be a fireman when he grows up. He is a typical boy. We love his sweet spirit in our home. We can't wait until he will sit down and be quiet when we have Family Home Evening and Scripture Reading. When we have family prayer he has recently started to fold his arms for a little bit of the prayer. He is a good kid and we think he is pretty special. Hilton, You are awesome, and I love you! I am proud of you and know you are going to be a very good young man. pregnancy

What a lovely birthday post. Hilton sounds like an awesome kid. Wouldn't it be fun if you lived nearby and he could play with my Ben and Shana's Denver?

Hope you have an awesome 4th year, Hilton!

What a lovely tribute to Hilly on his birthday. I really enjoyed Caroline's too. He is looking so grown up! I was able to copy the pictures and put them on my screen saver. Now I can see most of my little people throughout the day. You look great by the way! All glowy. Luv, Mom
